Follow my blog with Bloglovin If you follow my blog you know that I wear and talk about vintage fashion quite a bit. I know a lot of people like the vintage look but don't own or want to buy anything vintage. Vintage can scare some people as I know it sure used to scare me! LOL! Well this whole look was inspired by vintage but was all purchased new. My favorite vintage look is the soft and romantic kind and this outfit is just that. My hat is my favorite part of the look and I think it is the icing on the fashion cake! I got it from a small boutique that was selling a few of these one of a kind handmade victorian hats and I loved it instantly. What do you think of vintage inspired looks? Follow my blog with Bloglovin I am definitely a vintage fashion lover! I find that I am usually drawn towards the 1950's era of fashion but every now and then a piece or two from another decade will catch my eye. This vintage coat is from the 1960's and I just adore it! I love it's quilted texture and flared shape. To make it a bit more modern I added a belt to cinch in it's swing shape. My daisy hat is another 1960's beauty and it is one of my favorites from my vintage hat collection (and yes, it is a large collection!) I love this hat's quirky and unique look! I know that this hat may not be for everyone but I love to wear something that has some attitude and I know I won't run into anyone else wearing it. Follow my blog with Bloglovin I am not quite ready yet to give up my tights for the season. I must say that I don't like showing off my legs and the little bit of coverage from my tights just makes me feel that much more comfortable. Since it is spring I thought at least I would wear some colorful floral printed ones! I have been enjoying the weather lately although it has been really up and down. One day it is quite hot and the next day it is so cold. By wearing this perfect light cotton jacket I think I can take on any weather that comes my way. Hope you are enjoying your weather too! Follow my blog with Bloglovin The weather has just started to cooperate here in Winnipeg so things like flowers and leaves on the trees are not quite blooming yet. The signs of spring are a little behind so I thought I would bring out some of my own by suiting up in flowers. I bought this outfit way back when there was still so much snow on the ground and I have been just dying to wear it. So here it is and can you believe this adorable suit is from Sears! I have really been noticing a huge improvement over the past little while there and have been impressed! I love when I find something great at an unexpected place, don't you? Follow my blog with Bloglovin When I purchased this top online I thought it was the coolest top I had ever seen with the fun multicolored tassels on the front and back. I was so excited to get it but when it came in the mail I realized it was completely sheer and I would need to wear something underneath it for some coverage. When I was picking out my second piece of Vedette Shapewear to review for my 12 month challenge I found the perfect bodysuit to wear underneath it. I chose the Francesca (see the Francesca here) as it has a beautiful lace print as well as a few crystal accents. The design shows a little from beneath the sheer tank and I love that. This one sure is a classic piece and is perfect for layering sheer tops over. Follow my blog with Bloglovin One material that I love to wear when the weather begins to be warmer is linen. I know the weather is not as warm as it should be right now but I couldn't wait any longer to wear this gorgeous purple linen topper coat. Linen is such a beautiful natural fabric and I love it! The only thing I dislike about it is that it creases a lot but with the pattern of this beautiful coat it hardly shows at all. Do you like wearing linen in the spring and summer? Follow my blog with Bloglovin I have been seeing the checker print in almost every fashion magazine I pick up lately and feel in love with this trend. I really wanted to get something in this print for myself but I didn't know what. I have seen a few people wearing the checker print mod dresses but I wanted something a little different. Then I saw these amazing checker print wedges from Aldo and they were absolutely perfect and fit so incredibly well into my funky wardrobe! I didn't want to style them in the typical 1960's mod look so I changed it up to be more trendy with some fun accessories, bold pops of color and feathers (you know how much I adore feathers)! So when I saw this cute little cupcake bag in the store I immediately had it in my hand. I was guarding it with my life in the store as I didn't want anyone else to get it from me, which is ridiculous as I am sure there were more of them to buy. It's Not Easy Being Green

Kermit was always so sweet and of course perfectly green. Follow my blog with Bloglovin Most people think of black and white as a classic color combination and I sure do too. There are so many different looks that can be styled with just these two simple colors. When I saw this beautiful coat I knew it would be the perfect topper for an all black and white look. This coat is fabulous to layer over my outfits on cooler days and it seems to me that cooler days is all that is happening around here at the moment. To make the coat even more awesome there was a matching bag for only $10 and I couldn't resist. What is your favorite color combination for an outfit? Usually in the comment section at the end of the post is someone asking if anyone would really wear these outfits. It made me think, do people really not wear the outfits they post on their blogs? Would people really put on an outfit just for a blog post and never wear the outfit? I think a blog is a personal expression and I indeed wear every outfit I post on my blog. I know my style is quite bold and different than most but I hope that is what people like about it. I can't believe it!, we are near the end of March and I could barely get out of my driveway today because of all the snow! So to keep warm I chose to wear this cute sequin heart sweater and built my whole outfit around it. At least this outfit brought a smile to my face as it sure wasn't because of the weather! 101 Dalmatians

Follow my blog with Bloglovin I remember as a child how frightening I thought Cruela De Vil was on the movie 101 Dalmatians and now I have turned into her! Just kidding, but I do love this faux fur version that I purchased with the dalmatians print! It is such a fun coat and it keeps me warm! I couldn't ask for anything better! Since the snow seems to be quite insistent on sticking around for a while longer I thought I would bring a little spring to my outfit by wearing flower print tights! Yellow Pants

Follow my blog with Bloglovin Colored pants are absolutely fabulous and these pants were something that I needed to have in my closet! I know most people don't think that yellow pants are a 'Must Have' but I certainly do. Yellow is one my favorite colors to wear in the spring and summer and I always find that yellow mixes so well with so many other colors! It is still quite cold here so these cropped length pants will have to be layered over boots until the warmer weather gets here. As you can see my feather obsession continues and I couldn't help but layer one of my feather shrugs over my leather jacket. I love to layer different fabrics and textures and I think this is a perfect combination! Cotton Candy

Follow my blog with Bloglovin I am just crazy about pastels and I am always looking for a new way to style an outfit entirely with them. How can you not have a smile on your face when you are wearing such happy cotton candy colors??!!! I am very excited that pastels are everywhere right now and I have already picked up a few pieces for spring including a gorgeous yellow lace dress. I just have to wait a little bit longer for some warmer weather until I get to wear it but for now I get to wear my pastel yellow coat and it is just as wonderful! The only thing I find is since pastels colors are so light it is hard to find the right thing to wear underneath them. When choosing my second Vedette Shapewear to review this month I found the perfect piece of shapewear to wear underneath my pastel look which is the Abella. The Abella (see the Abella here) is a firm control slip that gives you support and curves all at the same time which is just fantastic to wear under my blouse and skirt combo. I love that the Abella is not just a basic slip but it gives me great shape too! Hope everyone has a great week! Follow my blog with Bloglovin Since it's almost March and spring is coming soon I want to wear more boots while I still can. These boots were my first pair to begin the start of my Fluevog shoe collection many years ago and they are my favorite pair. I can't believe I have never done a blog with them before and I had to style an outfit around them! What a great way to start off the 5th month of my year long Vedette Shapewear Challenge by wearing a piece of shapewear with my favorite boots. I think these boots are the perfect finishing touch to the outfit! The Tatienne (see the Tatienne here) is the first piece of shapewear that I chose to style and review this month. I did not wear the Tatienne as it is supposed to be worn which is under the bust as I am quite short waisted and the bodysuit ended up looking quite bunchy. I was creative and decided to wear it higher up by tightening the straps as far as they could go and I really liked the the way it looked. I had fun trying something new by layering the bodysuit over my blouse and it peaked out perfectly from underneath my cozy vest. In the mail right now coming to me as I type this post are a few packages of feather items including a cropped feather coat and an ostrich feather skirt. I am so excited and I can hardly wait but until then this feather shawl will help me out a little with my feather obsession.
