Strawberries and Cherries
Wednesday, May 11, 2022
It's been awhile, but I'm still here and have a new post for you! It's just been one heck of a winter and beginning of spring here in Winnipeg. Not only did we get snow storm after snow storm, but we have also been hit with crazy amounts rain leading to some flooding. Hopefully that is all past us and we can start to enjoy spring!
Spring is always a fantastic time for fashion. It feels like a fresh start. One of my favorite things to wear is fruit prints and fruit accessories! I know most people like to wear florals for spring, but something just feels fresh about fruit. This outfit it's all about strawberries and cherries!
This spring I had to have this beautiful beaded cherry Mary Frances handbag. This bag is not only adorable on the front with the sweet beaded cherries, but you can wear it turned around as it looks like a completely different bag. The backside is done in a fully beaded gingham design! How unique is that! It's like two bags in one! The strap is removeable if you would like to carry it as a clutch, but I love the chain strap as it has these very cute little beaded cherries on it. This bag is currently available in case you need it in your life too! Click here to see it
As always I have to wear a fabulous hair accessory and this headband from NamJosh is perfect! The strawberry embroidery is just lovely for spring and summer outfits! Wearing accessories is definitely a big part of my daily fashion life. One thing I never leave the house without is wearing some sort of accessory on my head. I am sure if you follow my blog you will notice that I love headbands! I can't get enough of them! You may think all headbands are the same, but once you discover NamJosh's headbands you will see they are not! Each headband is truly a work of art! If you take a look at my photos and through the NamJosh website you will be so impressed! (click here to see everything). Every headband is handmade and hand beaded in India by skilled artisans with embroidery techniques that are passed down from generation to generation. This is all through Fair Trade. NamJosh fosters sustainable and equitable trade relationships with artisans.
In all my years of wearing headbands I have never seen any as unique as these ones from NamJosh. The designs on the headbands are incredible with the beading, embroidery and embellishments. The shape and structure of each headband really stands out from other headband brands. Each headband has a thin piece of metal that runs down the center that is covered with fabric. The rest of the headband is made of soft material, but somehow it keeps the perfect shape. The headbands are made out of various textures and fabrics from velvet, knit, denim, brocade and so many more! Each headbands is lined in the most gorgeous fabric for a little something special to see on the underside. Every little detail makes these headbands unique.
The ordering process was super easy and I received my headbands in about four days from India! Very impressive! They keep adding more new arrivals so I can't wait to order again!
If you would like to order some for yourself (which I know you do!) you can use my personal discount code for 10% off your whole order!

Well there is a winter storm here today! I am pretty sure that is the case for a lot of Canada this week! I am not a big fan of the cold weather, but one of the things I actually do like about winter is that I get to wear a cute cardigan! Not only does it keep me warm, but it looks adorable! This one I am wearing from Chicwish (click here to see it) is just perfect! It is made out of a chunky knit with the biggest boldest bright red heart at the back! Definitely makes a statement and even more of a statement with my accessories! There is no closure at the front of this cardigan so you just put it on and wrap yourself in it!
What is your favorite cardigan to wear?

Fall is such a beautiful time of year. I am sure everyone loves to see the pretty colors that the leaves change to. I know I sure do.
The one thing I notice the most when fall arrives is that everyone begins to dress in all dark colors. When the weather cools down we can all definitely still wear softer colors. We don't have to wear all black and grey all the time, although that is ok too, but just add a bit of color every now and then.
I truly love a floral print and this skirt (click here to see it) has a fantastic color combo of soft pink mixed with a bit of metallic. This combo makes a great look for fall especially paired with a soft fall hue like my top.
Make sure you try wearing a new color combo this fall!

Here I am with one last fruit themed outfit of the summer! This dress from Chicwish (click here to see it) is absolutely adorable and I can see myself wearing it this fall as well with a pretty cardigan layered over top. This print can be worn for more seasons than just summer.
This maxi dress can work for pretty much every person of any height and look fantastic. What I love about it is that the straps are customizable to any length that you want by tying them looser or tighter at the top of the shoulder. This is a really nice feature as it can really improve the fit of the dress.
Do you like wearing a maxi dress?
