Book of Hearts

Finally I am able to be outside and take a few photos! It sure has been an incredible few weeks of very cold and very snowy weather! I know it has been the same for most places, so stay strong! I know it's only the beginning of February so I am sure there will be a few more surprises that Mother Nature will throw our way. I am hoping for an early spring as the ground hog here has predicted that but I doubt it! I think he is just fooling with us and getting our hopes up! LOL!
On a happier note I have been able to wear all my adorable sweaters this winter! It is the best way to stay warm and stylish for sure! This sweater I am wearing (click here to see it) is so sweet! It has the cutest heart pattern on it and is incredibly warm and cozy being a little bit oversized. It is a nice cropped length so it makes it perfect to wear with skirts and of course pants and jeans. I do love a long sweater but it's nice to have one in a shorter length like this one.
Now every outfit I wear has to have the perfect accessories and I am seriously in love with this beaded book bag from Mary Frances (click here to see it). It is so great to wear over the shoulder or crossbody and if you want to use it as a clutch you can do that too by unclasping the chain. The bag is incredibly detailed as are all Mary Frances bags. This one is completely covered in beads front and back to create this lovely book pattern. This is the best bag for any book worm or anyone that loves fun and unique bags!

Paper Cranes
Tuesday, January 15, 2019
You can never go wrong with a classic black and white outfit and by adding a bright pop of color sure makes the whole outfit stand out! I think my favorite color to add is bright red as the contrast is so fantastic!
The black and white pieces I am wearing sure are unique all on their own and don't need any help with standing out but they still look gorgeous with the red color! This paper crane printed midi skirt is so neat (click here to see it). I have always been fascinated with origami and loved to try to make different things with the paper, but the classic crane or swan is still my favorite. Have you ever tired to make any kind of origami?
Now I have to talk about this stunning sweater I am wearing! (click here to see it) The body is made from the most comfortable soft knit with a little cut out piece at the chest and the sleeves are a very soft mesh with pearl embellishments. Very unique and perfect to dress up or even wear more casually. The options are endless!
What is you favorite color to wear with black and white?

Tapestry Skirt

Living here in Winnipeg the winters can sometimes be a real downer. Some days the weather can be so bad that even if you wanted to take some photos outside it just can't happen. The snow can be so beautiful like in these photos as it is lightly coming down but some days it's snowing so hard you can't see right in front of you or it's blowing so much you can barely walk. LOL. Can you imagine how those blog photos would look?!!!
The hardest photos to take are usually the outfits where I am wearing a skirt (so pretty much all of my photos!!). The blowing wind can completely ruin the way the skirt looks but a soft wind can make a beautiful photo. The wind was so light when I took these photos so it worked out perfectly to show off this stunning embroidered tapestry skirt (click here to see it). The detailing is so lovely and I adore the longer length. I can imagine this skirt is going to be wonderful to wear when it starts warming up too!

Dinosaur
Sunday, December 30, 2018
I think most people are fascinated with dinosaurs. They are a part of the past of our world and we are still finding out things about them that we never knew before. I think they are so interesting, it's incredible how big they actually were and when I visit the Manitoba Museum and see the replicas of the bones I am amazed. Of course one of the most popular dinosaurs is the t-rex. So big, so fierce and who doesn't love those cute short arms! LOL! I couldn't resist this adorable t-rex bag and top, sure makes a fun outfit!
Do you have a favorite dinosaur?

WINNIPEG – October 9, 2018 -- RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S CINDERELLA, the 2013 Tony® Award-winning Broadway musical from the creators of The King & I and The Sound of Music, will play two performances at Centennial Concert Hall for a limited engagement January 6-7, 2019 at 7pm. Tickets for CINDERELLA are on sale now and can be purchased online at centennialconcerthall.com, or by calling the Centennial Concert Hall box office at 204-949-3999 (tickets start at $48.50).
With its fresh new take on the beloved tale of a young woman who is transformed from a chambermaid into a princess, this hilarious and romantic Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA combines the story's classic elements – glass slippers, pumpkin, and a beautiful ball along with some surprising twists. More than just a pretty face with the right shoe size, this Cinderella is a contemporary figure living in a fairytale setting. She is a spirited young woman with savvy and soul who doesn't let her rags or her gowns trip her up in her quest for kindness, compassion and forgiveness. She longs to escape the drudgery of her work at home and instead work to make the world a better place. She not only fights for her own dreams, but forces the prince to open his eyes to the world around him and realize his dreams too.
Rodgers + Hammerstein’s CINDERELLA has music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, a new book by Douglas Carter Beane and original book by Oscar Hammerstein II. Originally directed by Mark Brokaw and choreographed by Josh Rhodes, the tour is directed by Gina Rattan and choreographed by Lee Wilkins. Music adaptation and arrangements are by David Chase and music supervision is by Greg Anthony Rassen. Orchestrations are by Bill Elliott and are adapted from the original Broadway orchestrations by Danny Troob.
One of Rodgers + Hammerstein's most popular titles, Rodgers + Hammerstein’s CINDERELLA was written for television -- debuting in 1957 starring Julie Andrews. In 2013, the show made its long-overdue Broadway debut. Along with CINDERELLA, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein's legendary musicals include OKLAHOMA!, Carousel, The King and I, South Pacific and The Sound of Music.
Mr. Beane's book for Rodgers + Hammerstein’s CINDERELLA blends masterfully with the musical's cherished score with songs including "In My Own Little Corner," "Impossible/It's Possible," "Ten Minutes Ago" and "Do I Love You Because You're Beautiful?"
The creative team includes scenic design by Tony® Award nominee Anna Louizos, costume design by six-time Tony® Award-winner William Ivey Long, lighting design by Tony® Award-winner Kenneth Posner and sound design by Tony® Award nominee Nevin Steinberg.
The Rodgers + Hammerstein’s CINDERELLA tour is produced by Work Light Productions. CINDERELLA was produced on Broadway by Robyn Goodman, Jill Furman, Stephen Kocis, Edward Walson, Venetian Glass Productions, The Araca Group, Luigi Caiola & Rose Caiola, Roy Furman, Walt Grossman, Peter May/Sanford Robertson, Glass Slipper Productions LLC/Eric Schmidt, Ted Liebowitz/James Spry, Blanket Fort Productions and in association with Center Theatre Group.
