If you follow my blog you know that I wear and talk about vintage fashion quite a bit. I know a lot of people like the vintage look but don't own or want to buy anything vintage. Vintage can scare some people as I know it sure used to scare me! LOL! Well this whole look was inspired by vintage but was all purchased new. My favorite vintage look is the soft and romantic kind and this outfit is just that. My hat is my favorite part of the look and I think it is the icing on the fashion cake! I got it from a small boutique that was selling a few of these one of a kind handmade victorian hats and I loved it instantly.

I am definitely a vintage fashion lover! I find that I am usually drawn towards the 1950's era of fashion but every now and then a piece or two from another decade will catch my eye. This vintage coat is from the 1960's and I just adore it! I love it's quilted texture and flared shape. To make it a bit more modern I added a belt to cinch in it's swing shape. My daisy hat is another 1960's beauty and it is one of my favorites from my vintage hat collection (and yes, it is a large collection!) I love this hat's quirky and unique look! I know that this hat may not be for everyone but I love to wear something that has some attitude and I know I won't run into anyone else wearing it.

I am not quite ready yet to give up my tights for the season. I must say that I don't like showing off my legs and the little bit of coverage from my tights just makes me feel that much more comfortable. Since it is spring I thought at least I would wear some colorful floral printed ones! I have been enjoying the weather lately although it has been really up and down. One day it is quite hot and the next day it is so cold. By wearing this perfect light cotton jacket I think I can take on any weather that comes my way. Hope you are enjoying your weather too!

The weather has just started to cooperate here in Winnipeg so things like flowers and leaves on the trees are not quite blooming yet. The signs of spring are a little behind so I thought I would bring out some of my own by suiting up in flowers. I bought this outfit way back when there was still so much snow on the ground and I have been just dying to wear it. So here it is and can you believe this adorable suit is from Sears! I have really been noticing a huge improvement over the past little while there and have been impressed! I love when I find something great at an unexpected place, don't you?

When I purchased this top online I thought it was the coolest top I had ever seen with the fun multicolored tassels on the front and back. I was so excited to get it but when it came in the mail I realized it was completely sheer and I would need to wear something underneath it for some coverage. When I was picking out my second piece of Vedette Shapewear to review for my 12 month challenge I found the perfect bodysuit to wear underneath it. I chose the Francesca (see the Francesca here) as it has a beautiful lace print as well as a few crystal accents. The design shows a little from beneath the sheer tank and I love that. This one sure is a classic piece and is perfect for layering sheer tops over.
